The Road Angel Gem uses the UK's most accurate database of road speed limits to display the current speed-limit on-screen as you drive (even if you're not approaching a road hazard), helping you stay safe and giving you peace of mind.

The Road Angel Gem can transfer data to and from the Road Angel computer servers over the mobile phone networks, allowing the database on your unit to be updated every few minutes as you drive.

Should you find yourself in an emergency situation, eAssist is a revolutionary new feature which connects you to an emergency response call centre. You can speak with an operator who'll contact the relevant emergency services, depending on your needs. Your location is sent to the call centre automatically, so they can pin-point your location and direct the emergency services straight to you.

There are thousands of sites across the UK where Safety Camera Vans can monitor the speed of passing drivers. Whilst these sites are included in the Road Angel database, nobody knows where the vans will be at any particular time. The unique CameraShare™ feature of the Road Angel Gem allows connected Road Angel users to report the live locations of camera vans with the press of a button. If another member of the Road Angel community drives past the same location in the next 2 hours, a camera van alert will sound.

Keeping the database of road speed limits up to date is quite challenging. The Road Angel team spend every day out in the field updating the speed limit database, however there are so many changes it's inevitable that we don't get them all. That's why we've introduced the SpeedShare™ feature. This lets you tell us, with the press of a button, if a road speed limit needs changing, which we can then validate and update on our database.

Subscription

The Road Angel Gem is ready to use straight from the box with up-to-date preloaded speed camera location data. To take advantage of the live over-the-air database update service requires you to take out a subscription to the Road Angel database. There are three ways to pay:
